Effective September 11, 2026
Markdown Reader collects no data. None. The app has no network access, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party code.
We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any information — personal or otherwise. Markdown Reader has no accounts, no sign-in, no telemetry, and makes no network connections of any kind.
Markdown Reader is a read-only viewer. Documents you open remain exactly where they are — on your device or in your own cloud storage managed by Apple's Files system. The app reads the file you choose to open and nothing else, and it cannot modify, move, delete, or upload your documents. The contents of your files are never transmitted anywhere and are never visible to us.
The app contains no analytics frameworks, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party code of any kind. We receive no information about how you use the app. If you have opted in to sharing analytics with Apple, Apple may provide us aggregated, anonymized crash reports through the standard App Store developer tools; these contain no personal information and no document content.
Because Markdown Reader collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children.
If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds a feature that requires network access — we will update this page and the effective date above before that version is released.
